Eat This For Breakfast Every Morning And Watch Fat Disappear!
Many people skip their breakfast in the morning and explain that don’t have time or have lack of appetite. But, according to the nutritionists, breakfast is the most important meal that provides the energy needed for the entire day. Breakfast is especially important for those who are trying to lose weight because it may be setting them up for failure later in the day.
If you skin breakfast in the morning, there is possibility for you to be overcome with hunger later in the day and then over eat during lunch or snack.
A study published in Annals of Nutrition & Metabolism says: “Forgoing or simply skipping the first meal of the day actually tricks your brain into thinking you want higher – calorie foods. These foods that can make you fat, or at least increase your risk for weight gain.”
Still, if you consume oatmeal in the morning, you will feel full longer and there is less likely to snack or desire a larger lunch.
In this study participated 36 people of both sexes. They were divided into three separate groups. There were 18 overweight participants and 18 were with normal weight. The difference was in that each group ate or drank three different things for breakfast. The first group only drank 1.5 cups of water, the second had 350 calories of sugared corn flakes, and the last, third group consumed 350 calories of quick -cook oatmeal.
The researchers evaluated their appetite, ratings of hunger, and fullness at frequent intervals before and after breakfast, until lunch time 3 hours later. In addition were collected blood samples at each interval in order to assess glucose, insulin, acetaminophen, and hunger hormone levels. (Acetaminophen is a marker for how quickly food left the stomach.)
The results were very interesting!
Allan Geliebter is lead researcher, PhD, research psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital. He explains: “Our results show that despite eating the same number of calories at breakfast, satiety values were significantly greater after consuming oatmeal compared to sugared corn flakes. After three hours, subjects reported the same level of hunger after having a corn flakes breakfast as they did when they consumed only water. Interestingly, the results were more pronounced for the participants who were overweight, suggesting that overweight individuals may be more responsive to the satiety effects of the dietary fiber in oatmeal.”
We are sure that this is fantastic news for those who want to lose weight and still eat in the morning. It seems that oatmeal is the breakfast of choice.
On top of weight loss, oatmeal comes with a whole bunch of other health benefits including:
